On the morning of December 17th, the reporter visited the site of the "Intelligent Condiment Production Base Project" of Weijia (Shanghai) Condiment Food Technology Co., Ltd. located in Fengjing Industrial Zone. The project, with an investment of approximately 286 million yuan and a construction period of 20 months, has now entered the stage of equipment commissioning.

The spacious production plant area is home to a large number of advanced production equipment. All 13 condiment production lines have been installed, and technicians are busy debugging the equipment to strive for an early start of production.

"During this period, we have been concentrating our efforts on single-machine debugging. Later, we will also conduct full-line connection and material loading tests. We expect to be able to start production in February next year. In the same year, we aim to achieve an annual output value of 100 million yuan." " Zhang Zhipeng, the general manager of Weijia Food Company, said.

Weijia Food Company has a history of nearly a hundred years. It is one of the first batch of enterprises recognized as a time-honored Chinese brand by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and also a leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization in Shanghai. The company specializes in the production of "Weijia" brand series of condiments, mainly focusing on three series: spices, vinegar, and sauces.

The "Intelligent Condiment Production Base Project" which is about to go into operation covers an area of approximately 33 mu, with a construction area of 40,708 square meters. It can produce 38,800 tons of liquid condiments (vinegar and liquid seasonings), solid condiments (spicy seasonings), and semi-solid condiments (sauces) annually.

“The new production line that is about to go into operation has a leading degree of automation in the industry. During the production process, most of the time, employees only need to operate on the touch screen to complete the entire production process. Zhang Zhipeng said that based on the application of the digital management platform, the Weijia Fengjing factory has achieved an integrated management of the entire production process that is automated, digitalized and intelligent, significantly improving production efficiency. "For instance, in the process of brewing vinegar, which previously required nearly 20 workers to operate, now only raw materials need to be placed and parameters set, and the equipment will run independently, saving more than half of the personnel."

It is understood that after the Fengjing factory of Weijia Food goes into production, its production capacity will be three times the original production capacity, and it is expected that the sales volume will also double. Behind such a broad prospect lies the solid support of its high-quality products and technical capabilities.

In the powder production process, this new production line has adopted brand-new impurity removal equipment. We have a total of four impurity removal processes. One of them is to use a hyperspectral camera to identify these fine impurities in the raw materials through its multi-band spectral information. Such a process is quite advanced." Engineer Chen Xin said.

Since the intelligent production base construction project of Weijia Food was established in Fengjing, in order to smooth the project processing procedures in the early stage, Fengjing Industrial Zone set up a project task force and actively implemented land indicators. It became one of the first projects in the district to complete the procedures for converting agricultural land to land use that year. Meanwhile, during the project construction period, the park took the initiative to assume responsibility, actively followed up and provided services, helping enterprises coordinate and solve the difficulties and problems encountered in the construction and acceptance process, and promoting the project to be completed and put into production as soon as possible.

In recent years, Fengjing has been actively building a base for the revitalization of old brands in the Yangtze River Delta. After the beginning of this year, the Fengjing production base of Mali Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 110 million yuan was officially put into operation, and it is expected that the annual output value will exceed 100 million yuan. The renovation project of the production workshop of the century-old brand "Ding Yixing" located in Fengjing Advanced Manufacturing Base, Lingang (Jinshan), was launched in July this year. It is expected that the output value will reach 500 million yuan after reaching full production capacity. The vigorous advancement of these projects has further enriched the connotation of the Fengjing Old Brand Revitalization Base and also injected strong impetus into its subsequent development.
